WBS Storage Conveyor Line

 

WBS conveying system can make the right-angle conveying of work piece in 3D space possible and the basic unit in all types are composed the conveying system with different functions, these can realize the coarse discharge, fined discharge, inverted storehouse and other functions to finish the buffering and quick conveying of the work piece. Controlled by PLC, the full automation of conveying can be achieved. The main constitutional units include power-belt roller bed, frictional roller bed, rotating roller bend, shuttle, stack crane, skid and other equipment.

1 The concept of storage line

 

Usually, in the automobile production process, among the three workshops of welding workshop, painting workshop and final assembly workshop, a buffer area for body-in-white and painted body is set up between two adjacent workshops.

 

After the body welding is completed, the body-in-white is transferred from the welding self-circulating roller bed line to the storage line skid through the fork-type transfer machine and side jacking machine during welding, and transported to the WBS warehouse area of the storage line. Realize the functions of conveying, warehousing, storage, warehousing, and reversing of the body-in-white, and then transport it to the painting workshop through the welding and painting corridor. After the painted body is sprayed, the skid picks up the vehicle at the transfer point of the painted and painted body, and transports it to the PBS warehouse area through the general painting corridor, and realizes the functions of conveying, warehousing, storage, outbound and reversing of the painted body in the PBS , and then transported to the final assembly line handover point. The storage area adopts the friction rolling bed conveying method, which is used for conveying, sorting and storing the body in white and painted body.

 

2 Types of storage lines

 

The storage line of an automobile factory generally includes two storage areas, WBS and PBS, which are used for the storage, sorting, and transportation of body-in-white and painted bodies of various models, so as to facilitate adjustment of production imbalances in welding, painting, and assembly workshops.

 

WBS (Welding Body Storge) refers to the buffer and storage area between the welding workshop and the painting workshop in the automobile factory;

 

PBS (Painted Body Storage) refers to the buffer and storage area between the painting workshop and the assembly workshop in the automobile factory.

 

3 mixed memory design

 

It is a new attempt to mix storage lines in domestic automobile production plants. A domestic new energy passenger vehicle storage line is divided into two storage areas, WBS and PBS (as shown in Figure 1), and is built on the second-floor platform of the assembly workshop. It can meet the transportation and storage requirements of various models.

 

The hardware of the storage line scheduling system mainly includes servers, PCs, and RFID reading terminals (as shown in Figure 2). Among them, the server is connected to the ring network of the assembly workshop and the intranet of the enterprise to facilitate the interaction with the MES system, PLC and client information data. PC computer is used for information input of body-in-white and painted body parts, as well as WBS, PBS storage area dispatching and monitoring equipment. RFRD reads the terminal to identify the skid number and VIN code in the skid code chip, which is used for reading and binding vehicle body information.

 

PBS has 5 lanes with a total of 90 storage slots, WBS has 4 lanes with a total of 64 storage slots, including fine discharge lanes, rough discharge lanes, and inverted storage lanes, which can be flexibly welded and painted into the WBS and PBS storage areas for temporary storage And flexibly enter the fine arrangement area through the reverse warehouse to meet the needs of production planning and logistics distribution.
