TIG welding robot description
 

Robotic TIG welding, also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), is a commonly used, high - quality welding process.

In TIG welding, an arc is formed between a non - consumable tungsten electrode and the metal being welded. Gas is fed through the torch to shield the electrode and molten weld pool. If filler wire is used, it is added to the weld pool separately.

TIG welding has become a popular choice of welding processes when high quality, precision welding is required. By integrating TIG welding robots, our customers are able to cut down on human error and increase safety on their production line.

 

 

TIG Welding robot application

TIG welding is typically used for small parts where precision is required. It’s slower than MIG welding, but cleanup and maintenance is simpler. While TIG welding is usually preferred over MIG welding for small parts, TIG welding is versatile and can be used for a wide range of welding applications.

 


Arc welding robot composition
 
Welding robots mainly include two parts: robots and welding equipment.
The robot consists of a robot body and a control cabinet and a teach pendant.
The welding equipment ( for example, arc welding) consists of a welding power source, an automatic wire feeder device, and welding torch.
 
The system composition can also be selected according to the welding method and the welding process requirements of the workpiece. The following devices are selected: clear gun wire cutting device, cooling water tank, flux conveying and recovery device (SAW), mobile device, welding positioner, laser tracking sensor or camera sensor, dust removal device, etc.
