A reliable hemodialysis water center equipment is not only bio
safe, but also portable and comfortable to use.
Hemodialysis centers require a specialized water treatment system
to ensure that the water used for dialysis is free from
contaminants and meets the appropriate quality standards. This is
because even small amounts of impurities in the water can pose a
significant risk to patients undergoing dialysis.
The water treatment system used in hemodialysis centers typically
includes multiple stages of filtration and purification to remove
impurities such as bacteria, viruses, endotoxins, and chemical
contaminants from the water. The system may also incorporate
reverse osmosis(RO) to remove dissolved salts and other minerals
from the water, and ultraviolet (UV)disinfection to kill any
remaining microorganisms.
The resulting water must meet specific quality standards set by
organizations such as the Association for the Advancement of
Medical Instrumentation (AAMli) and the American Society for
Artificial Internal Organs(ASAIO). These standards specify the
acceptable levels of various contaminants in the water used for
dialysis, including total dissolved solids, endotoxins, bacteria,
and other impurities.
Data detection:
The dialysis water and dialysate should be tested in detail
regularly. The microbial requirements in the dialysis water and
dialysate are mainly that the total number of bacteria is
<100CFU/ml;
The intervention level should be based on knowledge of system
microbial dynamics and should be one-half of the maximum allowable
level. At the same time, endotoxins in dialysis water are
<0.25EU/ml, and endotoxins in dialysate are <0.5EU/ml.
Corresponding intervention levels must be established, and the
maximum allowable levels are also one-half of each;
When it is found that bacteria and endotoxin indicators exceed the
standard, be sure to use disinfectant immediately to carry out
systematic disinfection with professional procedures. The removal
rate of endotoxins and bacteria must be ≥99%;
The removal rate of dissolved salts must be ≥97%, while the water
recovery rate must be >70%, and the system’s emptying rate must
be ≥99%, with no dead space.
