1. Overview of 12.1KV 242 kVar High Voltage Three Phase Shunt Power Capacitor
Medium voltage shunt capacitor/High voltage shunt capacitor is composed of a pack, a case, outlet porcelain busing, etc. The
two sides of stainless steel case are welded with hanging brackets
for installation, and one hanging bracket is equipped with a
grounding bolt. In order to adapt to various voltages, the pack is
composed of several small elements connected in parallel and
series. The capacitor is equipped with a discharge resistor.

3. Main features of 12.1KV 242 Kvar Three Phase High Voltage Shunt Power Capacitor
- 3.1 Casing: Cold-pressed, anti-fouling type casing is adopted, and
the creepage distance is not less than 31mm/kV.
- 3.2 Mature internal fuse technology.
- 3.2.1 After testing, the internal fuse can isolate the faulty
component within 0.2ms, the release energy of the fault point is
not more than 0.3kJ, and the remaining intact components are not
affected.
- 3.2.2 Advanced concealed internal fuse structure, using oil gap arc
extinguishing, reducing the possibility of blasting the capacitor
case.
- 3.2.3 The internal fuse protection and relay protection have
perfect coordination standards to ensure the safe and reliable
operation of the entire device.
- 3.3 Liquid medium: 100% insulation oil (NO PCB) is used. This
liquid has excellent low temperature performance and partial
discharge performance.
4. Installation of 12.1KV 242 Kvar Three Phase High Voltage Shunt Power Capacitor
- All these series capacitors serve for common ambient
conditions, standard category for capacitor covers
-40/A,-25/A,-5/A,-5/C, working altitude not more than 2000m
- The capacitors shall be mounted in the place where has no corrosive
steam and gas, and snow, rain, dust can't be accessible, and well
ventilated.
- The capacitor can be mounted on steel support, layout not more than
3 layers, each layer not more than two rows. In order to get good
ventilating, the clearance between capacitors in each layer shall
not less than 200mm, outdoor capacitor shall have 300mm at least,
and the top of the capacitor shall have 1000mm away from house roof
at least.
