APPLICATION
The NTSWÖU-J Mining Cable is designed for use in both open-pit and
underground mining operations, providing reliable power
transmission in challenging environments.
CONDUCTOR
Constructed with electrolytic, stranded, tinned copper wire
according to DiN VDE 0295 Class 5 standards, the conductor ensures
efficient power distribution while maintaining flexibility, crucial
for dynamic mining applications.
INSULATION
All cores are insulated with 3Gl3 compound in accordance with DiN
VDE 0207 part 20 standards. This insulation material offers high
dielectric strength and thermal stability, protecting against
electrical faults and ensuring safe operation in demanding mining
conditions.
LAYUP
All cores are laid up in contact with each other, optimizing space
utilization and maintaining electrical integrity. Additionally,
interstitial ground cores are strategically placed within the cable
layout, facilitating proper grounding and ensuring consistent power
distribution.
BEDDING
The cable features a special elastomeric compound GM1 b as bedding,
compliant with DiN VDE 0207 Teil 21 standards. This compound
provides additional insulation and mechanical protection, enhancing
the cable’s resistance to environmental factors and mechanical
stresses encountered in mining operations.
OUTER SHEATH
Encased in a heavy-duty elastomer outer sheath 5GM5, as per DiN VDE
0207 Teil 21 standards, the cable offers superior resistance to
abrasion, chemicals, and environmental factors. This robust outer
sheath ensures long-term durability and reliability in harsh mining
environments.
RELATED STANDARDS
The NTSWÖU-J Mining Cable complies with VDE 0250-813 standards,
ensuring adherence to safety, performance, and quality requirements
for mining cables.
RATED VOLTAGE
Rated for voltages of 0.6/1 kV, the cable is suitable for various
power distribution and equipment connectivity applications within
mining operations.
TEST VOLTAGE
During manufacturing, the cable undergoes rigorous testing,
including a test voltage of 4 kV, ensuring compliance with industry
standards and validating its electrical integrity and insulation
properties.
