What is Ultrafiltration (UF)?

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a type of membrane filtration in which hydrostatic pressure forces a liquid against a semipermeable membrane. Suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained, while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane. A semipermeable membrane is a thin layer of material capable of separating substances when a driving force is applied across the membrane.

What is 5 Stages UF Water System?

First stage pretreatment.(Sand filter) Second stage pretreatment (Carbon filter) Third stage pretreatment (Resin softener) Fourth stage pretreatment (Micron filter) Fifth stage (UF system)

Working Process:

1. Raw water pump-- provide the pressure to quartz sand
filter/active carbon filter.
2. Quartz sand filter--get rid of turbidity, suspended matter,
organic matter, colloid, ect.
3. Active carbon filter--Remove the color, free chloride, organic
matter, harmful matter, ect.
4. Softener resin --exchange "ions" of calcium and magnesium with
the most common and easiest method.
5. Micron filter--prevent large particles, bacteria, viruses into
RO membrane, accuracy is 5um,
6. UF system-- Suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained,
while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the
membrane.
7.UV sterilizer-In the UV disinfection process, water is purified as it runs
through a stainless steel chamber that contains a special UV-
producing lamp.
