Hydraulic Windlass
Hydraulic windlass is a windlass that mainly relies on hydraulic
devices to perform and control actions. Hydraulic windlass is also
called electro-hydraulic windlass because its hydraulic energy
comes from an oil pump device driven by an electric motor. It has
the following characteristics:
(1) It has good speed regulation performance equivalent to that of
DC electric windlass.
(2) Low-speed and high-torque hydraulic motors are usually used,
with low rotation speed and large output torque. There is no need
to install a huge mechanical reducer and can directly drive the
anchor sprocket.
(3) The hydraulic transmission has self-braking performance, and
the work is safe and reliable.
(4) Compact structure, small weight and size per unit power. .
(5) Convenient operation and simple maintenance.
(6) Easy to realize remote control and automation
For large, highly automated ships, the use of hydraulic windlass is
more beneficial to the economy and reliability of the ship. The
hydraulic windlass can also be driven by a high-speed oil motor.
The commonly used structures of high-speed oil motors include bent
axis axial piston oil motors and radial piston (or steel ball) oil
motors or vane oil motors. The oil motor has a small body size and
requires a larger reduction gear.
Winch
A winch is a light and small lifting device that uses a reel to
wind a steel wire rope or chain to lift or tow heavy objects, also
known as a winch. The hoist can lift heavy objects vertically,
horizontally or tilt. There are three types of winches: manual
winches, electric winches and hydraulic winches. Mainly electric
winches. It can be used alone or as a component of machinery such
as lifting, road building and mine hoisting. It is widely used
because of its simple operation, large rope winding volume and
convenient displacement. Mainly used in construction, water
conservancy projects, forestry, mines, docks, etc. for material
lifting or flat towing.
The winch has the advantages of large carrying capacity, stable and reliable hoisting, and a wide range of operating speeds. It is widely used. However, due to the lack of awareness and effective methods for the safe use of the winch, production accidents are often caused.
The hoist is not firmly fixed and the ground anchor is not firmly set, causing the hoist to shift and overturn.
