It is backed with low carbon steel with porous bronze sintered on the steel and polymers embedded in the bores of the bronze. The steel back gives the bushing greater mechanical strength and load capacity. By combining metals and polymers together, the products are endowed with the lower coefficient of friction and good ability of anti-abrasion and self-lubrication. In addition, it is a lead-free and environmentally friendly product. This series is widely applied in printing, weaving and tobacco production machines, gymnastics equipment, shock absorbers, etc.
Usually the surface polymer is resistant to chemical erosion.
However, it can be destroyed by fused alkali metal and
high-temperature fluorine compounds. Thus, the quality of erosion
protection is primarily determined by the quality of the steel base
and the metal layer. Air erosion can be effectively prevented if
the steel back is bronze or tinned. If the bushing will be used in
a corrosive environment, the steel back should be plated with lead,
zinc, nickel or nickel-chrome, etc.
Red PTFE bushings Suitable for dry running with a low coefficient of friction, low wear rate and good sliding properties. The generated transfer film protects the matching metal surface. Suitable for rotating and oscillating movements, high chemical resistance, lower water absorption and lower swelling. Also works well with lubrication.
This material meets the demanding criteria for long life and trouble-free performance with or without lubrication.
