p16/Ki-67 Dual Staining is an important marker for cervical cancer screening and diagnosis.

The p16/Ki-67 Dual Staining technology is a new detection method joint recommended by CAP and ASCCP, also recommended by Bethesda Version 2015.

 

 

 

Test principle

  • p16 causes cell cycle arrest
  • Ki-67 marks cell proliferation
  • Simultaneous expression suggests a cell cycle disorder, a "carcinoma."

 

Advantage

  • Dual-stainin, specificity is better than HR-HPV
  • Positive result of dual staining indicates Cervical cells are cancerous
