Stainless Steel Screw Screen For Wastewater Treatment Plant
The screw filter is able to totally eliminate the suspended solids having a diameter bigger than the size of the filtering gap, and considerably cut down the polluting load. Moreover, the completely closed body, which is a peculiarity of this equipment, avoids the diffusion of bad smells. On request, the screw filter can be provided with a system for the screened material washing with nozzles and pressurized water.

Function
The process starts on the screen that holds back solids only. The internal part of the screen is continuously cleaned by brushes fixed on the outside diameter of the flighting. As the water runs through the screen the shaftless spiral conveys the solids up towards the compaction module where the material is further de-watered. Depending on the material properties, screenings can be reduced by more than 50% of their original volume.
