Product description

MTH-7D digital DC spark leak detector,based on the pulse of high pressure conduction through the principle of anti-corrosion layer,can quickly detect the crack leakage of the coating. Using,in view of the quality of the coating,in case of the pinhole,bubble and crackle ,the instrument will make a bright spark,accompanied by a warning tone,the operation is extremely simple,It’s powered by the unique design relies on the large capacity battery packs,can get rid of 220V power supply,applicable to engineering site operations. The performance of the product is stable and reliable, thus widely used in Oil and Gas pipelines,Cable,Enamel,Metal Casting Pipe,Hull and other metal surface corrosion insulation construction quality and aging corrosion monitoring,it is the necessary testing equipment in chemical, oil, rubber industry.

Working principle

A certain pulse voltage is applied by applying a Anti-corrosive coating to the conductor, if the coating is too thin or there is some metal leakage body,leaky pinhole,pulse high voltage, it will break through the air gap to discharge spark,at the same time ,the alarm will receive the pulse signal,and send out sound and light alarm,and then achieve the purpose of coating detection.

 Use of the instrument

Preparation before the measurement

 

1) Insert the Multi -core connector into the socket while the other end of the cable connects with the high pressure probe;

2) Choose the appropriate probe according to the different detection needs;

3) Check the machine’s working condition:

① The indicator should be lit when the power button is pressed;

② Adjust the high voltage adjustment knob to the required voltage for detection;

③ Make the bare point of grounded long line close to the proble pole,there should be sparks,and accompanied by sound and light alarm, increase the output high pressure slowly,sparks are getting bigger and bigger,it means that the instrument is working properly,then you can start testing.

 

Start measuring

 

① When using the brush probe,Turn the brush probe into the top of the high pressure gun;

② Select the appropriate test voltage according to the thickness of the coating(look at

 

1.3.2 table),The voltage given by the table is generally an approximation,for reference only,and also can choose the detection voltage according to the detection standards provided by various industries.The detector turns on the power switch,The job light will be on,high voltage LCD display for the output high voltage,adjust the output knob,so that the LCD display value for the required high voltage.then turn on the high pressure gun switch,The instrument is in the working state;

③ Using the probe brush move slowly on the test object coating,If you see discharge spark(the length of the spark is related to the output voltage level),accompanied by sound and light alarm,it means that there is a crack in the coating;

④ After detection,The output adjustment knob should be adjusted to a minimum,make the switches back to its original state.After turn off the power,probe brush and host ground must be direct short-circuit discharge,can be stored.
