Titanium and titanium alloy ingot can be referred to as titanium ingot. The raw material for producing titanium ingot is sponge titanium. After high temperature smelting, a dense titanium ingot can be obtained, which is conducive to further forging and pressing processing into titanium material. Only when sponge titanium is made into dense malleable metal can it be machined and widely used in various industrial sectors. Titanium is a metallic element, gray, atomic number 22, relative atomic mass 47.87. It burns in nitrogen, has a high melting point. Blunt titanium and titanium alloys are new structural materials, which are mainly used in aerospace industry and navigation industry.

(1) The difference between the maximum diameter (thickness or width) and the minimum diameter (thickness or width) of the same ingot shall not be more than half of the allowable deviation of its diameter (thickness or width).
(2) The length of the ingot and its allowable deviation shall be determined by both parties through negotiation and indicated in the contract.
(3) The edges and corners at both ends of the ingot head and tail (fan ingot should include side edges) should be chamfered, and the chamfering radius should not be less than 20 mm.
(4) The cutting Angle of the ingot should not be greater than 30 mm

Titanium has plasticity, the elongation of high purity titanium can reach 50-60%, the reduction of section can reach 70-80%, but the strength is low, not suitable for structural materials. The existence of impurities in titanium has a great influence on its mechanical properties, especially the gap impurities (oxygen, nitrogen, carbon) can greatly improve the strength of titanium, significantly reduce its plasticity. The good mechanical properties of titanium as a structural material are achieved by strictly controlling the appropriate impurity content and adding alloying elements.
