The Fred machinery TM-86H is a robust compact wood chipper with a hydraulic auto-feed system that features an impressive 8” x 6” capacity. This chipper weight in at 825 lbs., with a 210 lbs. solid steel flywheel. Although this machine can handle tractors of 50 plus HP, it was specifically designed for use on smaller sub compact tractors with as little as 15 HP at the PTO such as BXseries Kubotas, John Deere 1000 series, New Holland, Massy Ferguson GC series, Mahindra Max series, and more.

STRENGTH IN DESIGN

Fred machinery TM-series chippers are the perfect combination of size, weight, and features. Compact enough to move around, yet strong enough to get the tough jobs done. TM-series chippers are loaded with features typically found on much larger commercial machines that are much more expensive.

The strength of our machines starts with using heavy formed Q-235 structural steel plate, the strongest plate steel available. Each piece is precisely laser cut and meticulously welded. The Fred machinery TM-series chipper exclusive structural design includes a direct drive 40mm diameter main shaft that passes straight through the flywheel housing and is supported by 2 flange bearings. This feature allows the flywheel to run true and adds a great deal of strength.

TRUE 8”x6” IN-FEED OPENING

Fred machinery TM-86H chipper offers a large 8” x 6” in-feed to easily accept those crooked branches. Although the opening is this size, the material you can chip is dictated by the HP of your tractor. With a 15hp tractor (at the PTO) you can expect to easily chip 4” material.

ADJUSTABLE BED (ANVIL) KNIFE

Fred machinery TM-series chippers are equipped with an adjustable bed knife to ensure that the proper knife gap is achieved. This feature allows the user to adjust the distance between the flywheel knife and the bed knife. Proper gap is important so that even the smallest material is chipped as it passes through the chipper.

EASY SWIVEL DISCHARGE CHUTE

360 degrees of rotation and 2 finger operation. We have incorporated a convenient handle that effortlessly allows you to swivel the discharge chute so that you can direct the chips into the back of a truck or trailer without having to move the entire machine. Simply push down on the handle and swing the chute. When you release the handle a spring loaded pin drops down to lock the chute into position. No tools required.

EASY FLYWHEEL ACCESS

The flywheel housing of the TM-86H opens up like a clam shell. This makes maintenance like changing flywheel knives a breeze.

CLEAR VINYL BAFFLE

The clear vinyl baffle feature protects the user from chip blow-back, while allowing the user to see what is going on in the hopper.
