Description
Chromium (GCr15, SUJ2, 52100, 100Cr6) is a universal material in a variety of applications, also known as bearing steel balls. It is a high-carbon chromium bearing steel with low alloy content and has good superior performance and excellent wear resistance, Deformation resistance, high load-bearing capacity and high contact fatigue performance after quenching and tempering.
The chromium balls are made of the highest quality chromium alloy steel and are quenched to achieve maximum strength and service life. Ideal applications for chrome balls include rolling media, ball bearings, wind turbine bearings, and linear motion components. The most widely used in various industries.

GCr15 representation method
1. The two digits at the beginning of the steel number indicate the carbon content of the steel, expressed as two thousandths of the average carbon content.
2. Except for a few trace alloying elements, the main alloying elements in steel are usually expressed in percentages.
3. Alloying elements in steel, such as vanadium V, titanium Ti, aluminum Al, boron B, and rare earth Re, are all microalloying elements. Although the content is very low, it should still be marked on the steel.
4. High-quality steel should be marked with "A" at the end to distinguish it from ordinary high-quality steel.
5. Special purpose alloy structural steel, the steel number with (or suffix) symbol represents the purpose of the steel.
Note of GCr15
1. The residual copper content (melting analysis) of the steel for bearing steel pipes should not exceed 0.2%.
2. The oxygen content is measured on the billet or steel.
3. The sulfur content (melting analysis) of wire rod steel should not exceed 0.02%.
