Carbon Steel Zinc Plated High Strength Threaded Rod Grade 8.8 / 10.9 / 12.9 M3 - M56

1. Description:

A threaded rod, also known as a stud, is a relatively long rod that is threaded on both ends; the thread may extend along the complete length of the rod. They are designed to be used in tension. Threaded rod in bar stock form is often called all-thread. Threaded rod provides a means of hanging or suspending strut, conduit systems, piping, etc. The Threaded rods are used to building fasteners with standard thread. It can be drilled into the nut and equipped with a connecting nut, a fixed mounted component is fixed at the opposite side of the rod. Stainless Threaded Rod is specifically designed for general purpose fixing and shade sail applications. Threaded Rods are designed for situations when fast assembly and disassembly are required. Stainless steels are used for corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, scaling resistance and low-temperature toughness. These properties account for their widely use in practically each industry. The chromium, which helps provide a passive surface oxide film, offes corrosion resistance in stainless steels. Stainless Steels are specified by Stainless Steel Grade of such as SUS304, SUS316. Another common named convention for Stainless Steels are 18/8 etc. where the 18 refers to the % of Chromium and 8 to the % of Nickel contained in the material. A threaded rod size name includes information about the external diameter, featured by the threads per inch, which indicates if it is coarse or fine.

3. Applications:

Threaded rod is often called all-thread. Be used to structure connections, especially in construction and as well as to fix wooden secitons in furniture manufacture. Designed for using in high-stress and high-strength applications. General Fastening applications where need high strength and superior corrosion resistance.

4. Advantages:

    1) High temperature resistance, no deformation at high temperature; 2) wear resistance and long life; 3) corrosion resistance and corrosive materials; 4) High strength, can withstand large torque, high speed; 5) having good cutting performance; 6) small residual stress and small thermal deformation after heat treatment
