Diesel Engine Driver for Diesel Pump
Diesel Engine shall be connected to horizontal -shaft pump by flexible couplings. For connections to vertical-shaft
fire pumps, right-angle gear drives and universal joints shall be used.
An engine jacket water heater shall be provided to maintain a temperature of 49℃ in accordance with NFPA 20
Diesel Engine shall be equipped with an overspeed protection, with manual reset. Means shall be provided for
verfying the overspeed system & function, testing the operation of theoil pressure, and testing the operation of high
engine temperature.
