Corrosion resistance of Hastelloy C276:
Hastelloy C276 alloy is suitable for various chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. High molybdenum, chromium content makes the alloy resistant to chloride ion corrosion, and tungsten element further improves its corrosion resistance. C276 is one of the few materials that can resist damp chlorine gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solution corrosion. The alloy has significant corrosion resistance (e.g. ferric chloride and copper chloride) to high concentration chloride solution.
