Description

The door potentiometer pressure sensor diesel engine is lubried by lubriing oil. Once the lubriing oil pressure is too low, dry friction will occur due to lack of oil, resulting in severe wear and heat, thus damaging the diesel engine. Therefore, oil pressure measuring devices are installed on diesel engines to monitor lubriing oil pressure. At present, Cummins diesel engines mostly use potentiometer pressure sensors to measure oil pressure. The sensor consists of a corrugated diaphragm and a sliding potentiometer. When the diesel oil pressure changes, the corrugated diaphragm is displaced, which drives the contacts on the potentiometer to slide, thereby changing the resistance value. Under the single-wire system, the sensor has a terminal, and the potentiometer is connected to the diesel engine control unit or the oil pressure indior through a wire, and the other pole is grounded. When connected to the oil pressure indior, if the resistance value of the potentiometer changes, the current passing through the internal coil of the oil pressure indior will change, which will drive the pointer to deflect and indie the lubriing oil pressure value. When the oil pressure increases, the variable resistance of the sensor decreases, and the output current increases, and when the oil pressure decreases, the situation is just the opposite. When connected to the control unit, the sensor potentiometer and the internal pull-up resistor of the ECU divide the voltage to generate a voltage that changes with the change of the resistance of the potentiometer. The diesel engine ECU measures the diesel engine lubriing oil pressure according to the change of the voltage. The sliding wire potentiometer in this oil pressure measuring device has a mechanical contact, and the contact must pass a current of up to 100mA, and the diesel engine has a large vibration, which affects the mechanical and electrical life of the sensor to a certain extent.
