Ru-Ir Coating Titanium Anode 

Product Description:

Coating titanium anode is known as Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) titanium anodeor DSA (Dimensionally Stable Anode) and DSE (Dimensionally Stable Electrode). Through brushing precious metal coating on the titanium substrate, we are able to make it more electrically catalytic and to possess good electrical conductivity.

 

Features:

Titanium anode has many advantages in electrolysis. Firstly, it is stable in size, which means the distances between each electrodes are constant. As a result, electrolytic can run stably with a lower voltage. Secondly, lower operating voltage and lower power consumption can be expected, in which the DC power consumption can be reduced up to 10%.

Furthermore, it also performs well in corrosion resistance and working life. The titanium anode will not dissolve in the electrolyte, thus product contamination can be avoided. As for current density, its small overpotential and high catalytic activity can largely improve the efficiency of production. In addition, this anode can avoid short circuit of the lead anode after deformation, while the high degree of refinement should be mentioned.

Lastly, it is favourable in recycling. The titanium substrate can be reused and the effectiveness of voltage in electrolytic cell can be consequently diminished due to its lower overpotential features.

 

Technical Parameters:

This product has a black uniform coating on its surface, along with great characteristics such as low chlorine-evolution potential, long-lasting lifetime, and high current efficiency. Its working current is between 2000A/㎡ to 10000A/㎡, and its working temperature is between 25℃ and 80℃.

Moreover, the coating metal can be Ru, Ru+Ir, Ru+Ir+Sn, Rare Earth+Ru, etc., with the Ruthenium content ranging from 8g/㎡ to 35g/㎡, and the coating thickness from 2μm to 10μm. Lastly, the environment for it to work in should fit the range of a pH of 0-14 and a concentration of NaCl lower than 0.1mol/L.

 

Applications:

Chlor-alkali industry involves various processes, such as diaphragm alkali legal system, chlorate industry, electrowinning produce chlorine dioxide, acidic water electrolysis, electrochemical sea water to produce chlorine, power plant circulating water sterilization alga, electrowinning metal in chloride system, ionized water electrolysis and electrodialysis, etc.

The diaphragm alkali legal system includes separating highly toxic chlorine with a diaphragm family method and a mercury electrolytic cathode. In the chlorate industry, different types of chlorine dioxide can be produced through electrowinning. As for acidic water electrolysis, it is used to continuously produce caustic soda or other chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Electrochemical sea water to produce chlorine is another process of chlor-alkali industry. Moreover, power plant circulating water sterilization alga, electrowinning metal in chloride system, ionized water electrolysis and electrodialysis also play an important role in chlor-alkali industry.
