Sinosecu Passport Reader is a multi-purpose document scanner based on high-precision OCR algorithm. It consists of a unique hardware device and advanced OCR SDK/API. It can automatically capture data from ICAO compliant and Non-ICAO travel documents, including passport, e-passport, visa, ID card and driver license. It provides and ideal solution for fast identity verification.
This machine combines three operations into one device. In a simultaneous single action, the reader decodes the 2-line and 3-line MRZ code from passport, keep a copy of identification on file, and verify the authenticity of various documents. The Passport Reader device captures white, infrared image and
ultraviolet image from various kind of documents. In a simultaneous
action, the passport reader also decodes the machine readable zone
(MRZ) and processes eData, including name, data of birth, gender,
document number, date of expiry, the holder's image etc, from the
chip.
Generally Speaking, it will take about 2 seconds to capture the
images and extract the printed data through OCR technology and read
the chip data from contactless RFID chip. Its unique design makes
it ideal for integration with self-serve type kiosks at airports,
hotels, banks, transportation terminals.

A: We currently support all ICAO compliant documents such as
passport, e-passports, visas, government issued ID cards and driver
license.
