What are the side effects?

There are virtually no side effects, but some patients have experienced minor discomfort for a few days, treatable with nonprescription analgesics such as Tylenol. Patients can return to work immediately after treatments and in nearly all cases there is no downtime.

How is the treatment performed and how long does it take?

A gel is applied to the area being treated and acoustic waves (shockwaves) are applied with an applicator and is moved over the area of concern. Each treatment can take between 10 and 15 minutes, depending on the individual therapy.

How many treatments are required before I experience improvement?

In many cases patients experience relief after the first treatment, but the number of session depends on the condition that is being treated.

How long before I experience results?

Often our patients experience relief from pain after the first treatment, there is no downtime. Others may require 2 or even 3 treatments depending on the severity of the injury. There is a 91% success rate (per clinical studies) and patients report being pain free or of having a significant reduction in pain.
