CNC Deep Hole Drilling Operation
- Material Selection: Choose materials suitable for CNC deep hole drilling, often
involving materials like stainless steel, tool steel, or titanium.
- Deep Hole Drill Bit Selection: Select a specialized deep hole drill bit with the required
length-to-diameter ratio, flute design, and coolant delivery
system.
- Workpiece Fixturing: Securely clamp the workpiece onto the CNC machining center's table
or fixture, ensuring it is properly aligned for deep hole drilling.
- CNC Setup: Configure the CNC machine by loading the specific CNC program,
setting tool offsets, work offsets, spindle speed, feed rates, and
coolant flow.
- Deep Hole Drilling Process: Activate the CNC machine to engage the deep hole drill bit, which
progressively drills deep holes with precise dimensions, utilizing
high-pressure coolant to remove chips and dissipate heat.
