The temperature output by the NTC temperature sensor is not the current temperature of the object to be measured, and there is usually a certain error. For occasions that require precise measurement, a sensor with a faster response speed should be selected. The probe should be protected during the measurement process. The life of the probe is much lower than the life of the entire measurement system. When the output is incorrect, it should be replaced in time.
In occasions where the response time requirement is not high, a
special casing can be used to wrap the NTC temperature sensor
probe, which can mainly prolong the use time of the probe, but this
will affect the measurement accuracy, and a good balance needs to
be weighed between the two. Many thermistors have a coating layer
on the surface. To protect the coating layer from being damaged,
the coating layer has the function of transmitting temperature and
protecting the internal components, and can prevent moisture and
corrosion.

Working principle of temperature sensor
Using the NTC thermistor under a certain measurement power, the
resistance value drops rapidly as the temperature rises. Utilizing
this feature, the NTC thermistor can be used to determine the
corresponding temperature by measuring its resistance value, so as
to achieve the purpose of detecting and controlling the
temperature.
