A105N or Stainless screw-threaded Unions are used in low-pressure piping where it is required to dismantle the pipe often. A Forged threaded screw Union is similar to socket welded Union joint design. It consists of three interconnected pieces. This fitting has two internal threads and a centerpiece that draws the ends together when rotated. In order to minimize the warping of the seats, the unions should be screwed tightly before the end are NPT or BSPP.
