SJ Series Plastic Single Screw Extruder Machine

 

ISO Standard SJ Series Plastic Single Screw Extruder Machine is main part of the core operations in polymer processing and is also a key component in many other processing operations. The foremost goal of a single screw extrusion process is to build pressure in a polymer melt so that it can be extruded through a die or injected into a mold. Most machines are plasticating: they bring in solids in pellet or powder form and melt them as well as building pressure.

 

Single screw extruder is composed of driven motor, gear reducer box, screw and barrel, casting aluminum heater, cooling blower, hopper and control cabinet. Single screw extruder working principle is as following : When the screw turns, it moves the resin within the hotbarrel. In this way, it reaches the required temperatures as well as mixes thoroughly to form a melt that is homogenous. The pressure which is built up by the single screw extruders then forces the melt from the extruder. It gets out shaped like a die. The whole system has barrier screw that makes sure that the whole resin does not melt in basic extrusion screw.

 

 

Driven motor: It is main part of single screw extruder. We'd better choose good brand AC type or DC type driven motor matching with inverter controll for saving power running cost.

 

Gear recuder box: It is used for connecting motor and for reducing rotating speed of screw through size and teeth of gear changing in the gear box.

 

Screw and barrel: It is most important part of single screw extruder. Design of single screw is becoming to special and customzied now due to many different kind plasic materials are using. The surface of screw should be paint double alloy for anti-wear.

 

Casting aluminum heater: It is used for heating barrel and screw which ensure plastic resin material can be plasticizing and melting under the suitable temperature.

 

Cooling blower : It is used for cooling barrel and screw. if temperature of screw and barrel will be excess setting temperature, cooling blowers start to work for cooling barrel which avoid plastic granule material resolved in the inside of barrel.

 

Hopper : It is used for keep the mixed plastic resin material in the silo and make sure material can be into barrel continuously. It is like a material transport station.

 

Control Cabinet: It is used for control whole cornic double screw extruder running by switchs or PLC programes according to different circuits control required.

Application of Plastic Single Screw Extruder Machine

  • Plastic Film: This is generally used for packaging or sealed into bags.
  • Plastic Tubing: Used for tubing and hose for laboratories, automobiles, etc.
  • Plastic Pipe: Used for water, drains, gas, etc.
  • Plastic Insulated Wire and Cable: Used in the industry and home for appliances, for communications, electric power distribution, etc.
  • Feedstock for Other Plastics Processes: Extruders are widely used as compounders, or mixers. The output from an extruder compounder is chopped or granulated to form the feed for another process, such as extrusion or injection molding.
  • Plastic Coated Paper and Metal: Used for packaging.
  • Sheet: Used for lighting, glazing, signs, etc.
  • Filaments: Used for ropes, twine, brushes, etc.
  • Nets: Used for soil stabilization, packaging, etc.
  • Profile: Used for home siding, gaskets, windows, doors, tracks, etc.
