Advantages
1. It has a wide range of applications, not only for sidetracking,
but also for deep wells.
2. Under the same drilling pressure and formation conditions, the
working torque is lower than PDC bit. The expansion and buckling
problems of small wellbore are reduced, and downhole accidents are
avoided.
3. It is more suitable for large-scale plastic formations than the
three-cone drill bit, and it can also be used for hard interlayers
where PDC drill bits cannot handle other complex formations.
4. The downhole motor can be used for high-speed special drilling.
