Buttweld Elbow Fitting is a pipe fitting installed between two lengths of pipe or tube allowing a change of direction,
usually 180°, 90° or 45°. The ends are machined for Butt Welding when the two ends differ in size, it is called a
Reducing or Reducer Elbow. Most elbows are available in short radius or long radius of types. The short radius
elbows have a center to end distance equal to the NPS in inches, while the long radius is 1.5 times the NPS in inches.

Application of Monel Alloy
Monel 400 alloy is a single phase solid solution with high
strength. It is a kind of corrosion resistant
alloy with the largest amount, the widest application and excellent
comprehensive performance.
This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid
and fluorine gas medium, and also
has excellent corrosion resistance to hot concentrated alkali
solution. It is also resistant to corrosion
of neutral solution, water, seawater, atmosphere and organic
compounds. An important feature of
the alloy is that it generally does not produce stress corrosion
cracks and has good cutting performance.
APPLICATIONS
The alloy is used in flue gas desulfurization systems. It has excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking,
and resists wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide. The alloy is also resistant to seawater and brine solutions.
