CVT PULLEY SHEAVE with module 2 and teeth 11, A spline connection consists of an inner and an outer spline. Both internal and external splines are multi-tooth parts, the spline on the inner cylinder surface is the internal spline, and the spline on the outer cylinder surface is the external spline. Obviously, spline connection is a numerical development of flat key connection. Splines are standard construction.
The flat key connection is usually used to connect gears or couplings with interference fit to shafts. Usually spline connection this connection is not interference, so the joined part needs axial fixation.
