smartax ma5600 dslam
The MA5616 is an industry-leading remote PON multi-dwelling unit
(MDU) with a plug-in design. It has the following features: high
access density, superior processing performance, high reliability,
easy maintenance, energy saving, and future-oriented architecture
design. The device provides ADSL2+, VDSL2, SHDSL, POTS, FE, P2P,
ISDN, and Combo user ports, and supports dual upstream transmission
channels through auto-negotiation GPON/EPON/GE ports at the network
side. It can be smoothly upgraded to support 10G PON. The MA5616
can be used as a mini-DSLAM/mini-MSAN in FTTC/FTTB scenarios. It
can be deployed indoors, for example, on a corridor wall or
outdoors, for example, in an outdoor cabinet to provide
high-bandwidth, flexible density, and multi-scenario service
coverage for multi-resident buildings and small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs).
High-speed vectoring: The MA5616 supports vectoring, which can
increase the VDSL2 line speed to offer bandwidth-hungry services
and a better user experience.
• IPv6 support: Compared with IPv4, IPv6 features simplified
packet header, sufficient address space, hierarchical address
structure, flexible extension header, and enhanced neighbor
discovery mechanism.
• Combo board design: The design saves carriers' construction
expenditure, requires less deployment space, wiring workload, and
wiring space on the main distribution frame (MDF). Briefly
speaking, Combo boards reduce carriers' maintenance costs.
• Effective quality of service (QoS) management: The MA5616
supports user-port-based bidirectional rate limitation, traffic
shaping of port-level queue groups, binding of the WRED profile to
queues, access control list (ACL)-based priority marking, and
mapping of upstream/downstream services to different priority
queues for scheduling based on the priority tags.
• Superior manageability and maintainability: The MA5616
supports service pre-deployment, plug-and-play, remote fault
diagnosis, remote troubleshooting, and remote batch upgrade.
• Carrier-class reliability design: The MA5616 meets
carrier-class reliability specifications. It has passed the
electrostatic discharge (ESD) test, provides surge protection,
anti-interference functions, user port protection, and power
protection, uses an anticorrosion design, has a few wires routed
across the board surface, and has proper heat dissipation by
producing a temperature difference to prevent condensation.
• Energy conservation: The MA5616 is energy-efficient. It is
designed for optimal performance in power consumption, noise
control, and heat dissipation, making it an
environmentally-friendly device with low total cost of operation
(TCO).
