Manufacturing process of SiC reduction crucible
The production of SiC reduction crucible adopts the method of
reaction sintering, using silicon carbide as aggregate, adding
suitable additives, selecting reasonable particle-grade
ingredients, mixing system and molding process, and drying the
green body in a special kiln oxidizing atmosphere. (1350-1450℃)
fired. With the aid of the ceramic phase sintered by the additive
and the silica film formed by the oxidation of the contact surface
of the SiC particles, the SiC particles are tightly bound together
to form a dense ceramic block and obtain high strength. In order to
obtain good product performance, the purity of the selected SiC raw
material should be above 97%. For the SiC reduction crucible made
by this method, reasonable particle-grade ingredients have a great
influence on the strength of the product. The selection of
square-shaped particles is not only a prerequisite for the close
packing of particles, but also shows the uniformity of performance
on the whole of the material. It is not easy to cause damage
locally. On the contrary, it will affect the performance of the
product. Impurities in the raw materials have a great influence on
the performance of the product, because impurities such as iron
oxide will form some solid solution phases with low melting point,
which is unfavorable to the performance of the product. Therefore,
in production, the amount of impurities such as iron oxide should
be controlled to ensure the good performance of the product.
