Product Introduction

The IMO MEPC.279(70) standard CCS, RMRS, USCG, ABS, DNV-GL approved marine ballast water management system BWMS uses advanced full-automatically backwash filter, with high-efficient medium-pressure UV radiation technology to accomplish the online treatment of ship ballast water.

The filtration plus UV radiation method takes no additional contamination with no adding or reserving chemicals. The entire system is completely closed in operation thus causing no hazards of radiation or noise to the crew.

System is divided into two modes of Local and Remote control. The process is convenient, intuitive and reliable. The working data of the System can be stored and recorded in order to reflect the operation of the equipment in the ship navigation. The System can provide the working operation record according to the requirements of the inspection department.

The ballast water treatment system is designed to remove and inactivate the avtive marine microorganisms in ballast water so as to prevent marine environment pollution caused by the transfer of harmful aquatic organisms through the ship's ballast water. It has been type approved in accordance with IMO Resolution MEPC.279(70)-2016 Guidelines for Approval of Ballast Water Management Systems (G8) and USCG 46 CFR 162.060, and meets the discharging standards set out in IMO Regulation D-2 and USCG 33 CFR 151 C&D.

The BWMS adopts a combination treatment technology of filtration and UV inactivation. Filtration system works before the UV system to remove particulate matter (PM) and the planton larger than 50um. After that, the filtered ballast water flows into UV reactor. The UV light is an effecient broa-spectrum bactericide and could inactivate almost all the bacteria and viruses effectively.

Automatic Backflush Filter as the first step of the system is specifically designed for ballast water screening, which has fine mesh elements aiming to remove the microbe and sediments with size larger than 50μm.

Filter adopts the up-to-date concept of auto backflush to efficiently fulfill filtering and screen-cleaning at the same time, backflush automatically starts based on differential pressure while filtration continues, with no other manual on-site operations needed.

Filter functions only in Ballasting process while it is bypassed in De-ballasting process and By-pass process.
