GCL-5 consists of a layer of bentonite encapsulated between two
layers of geotextiles (non-woven geotextile and woven polypropylene
geotextile), needle punched together and glued on one side with a
layer of non-woven geotextile and HDPE Film , for maximum
performance under various field conditions. This integrated matrix
of bentonite and needle punched fibers provides high shear strength
and GCL-5 maintains low permeability even under adverse
installation conditions. GCL-5 features high internal shear
strength properties for steep slope applications
