Product description of tomato processing plant

 

Tomato processing lines can produce everything from fresh tomatoes to different types of end products. Popular products such as tomato paste, tomato paste and tomato paste, as well as tomato juice processing lines from fresh tomatoes to aseptic bags in barrels to produce the final product.

 

The processing line mainly includes: fresh tomato receiving system, cleaning system, sorting system, crushing system, pulping and refining system, filtration system, concentrating system, a sterilization system, an aseptic filling system. Then we can get sterile bags of ketchup in buckets.

Key process of the tomato paste processing line

1. Discharge platform

When the fresh tomatoes arrive, it's usually a heavy truck that's difficult to empty with humans. Therefore, we designed an unloading platform and used water to transport the fresh fruits/tomatoes to the processing line. Also use the water gun to eject the fresh fruits/tomatoes from the truck. Moreover, the unloading platform has another function that allows you to pre-wash fresh fruits/tomatoes before processing.

 

2. Elevator

This machine is used to delivery fresh fruit from outside the building to inside.

3. Washing

Fresh fruit should be thoroughly washed before being crushed. For washing, we can use foam washing machine and spray washing machine together. If washing requirements are high, further washing steps can be added. Also, we can add ultrasonic cleaning and ozone cleaning for better cleaning effect.

4. Sorting

After washing, the surface of the fruit is clean, we can check the situation of all the fruit by human eye, and sort out the bad tomatoes by human.

5. Crushing for tomato processing

The GFM-FC series crushers have state-of-the-art operating principles, higher manufacturing accuracy, and the best crushing capabilities. It is mainly used to grind various kinds of fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, mangoes, apples, strawberries, pears and celery. The raw material can be crushed into small particles, which can enhance the work effect of the next processing. section. The machine consists of feed hoppers, frames, spindles, bearing blocks, side covers, motors, motor structures, outlet hoppers and more.

6. Preheating

The pre-heater is used to heat the product after crusher, the temperature is adjustable, normally from 45℃ to 85℃. This processing step, would help to higher the juice rate for next step, and also can protect the color and taste of the final product.

7. Pulper and refiner

This machine also operates at 1470 rpm, which generates centrifugal force that allows the product to pass through the sieve, helping to refine the product. Usually, two stages of pulper and refiner are used, but the screens of each stage are different, the screen of the first stage is large, and the screen of the second stage is small. The tomato pulp production rate of the two-stage mixer can reach 90%-95%. After pulping, the tomato skin and seeds are separated from the tomato pulp. The machine has large working capacity and stable performance. Simple operation and replaceable screen. Suitable for many types of fruit such as passion fruit, tomatoes, mangoes, peaches, apricots, mangoes and apples.

8. Evaporating

Vacuum Evaporator is used for concentrating the tomato paste under vacuum and low temperature. Here we are using Forced Circulation Vacuum Evaporator. Because it’s under vacuum and low temperature, so the tastes and nutrients would be protected as much as possible. And right now, we evaporate the water from the tomato pulp, then we will get the tomato paste, normally the Brix is 28-30% and 36-38%.

 

9. Sterilizing

Tomato paste uses a tube-in-tube sterilizer. Sterilization temperature and retention time are adjustable. The machine holds the ketchup at a high temperature of approximately 115°C for 30 seconds, then immediately cools it to room temperature. In this way, the tomato paste can also be tested to preserve the nutrients as much as possible. The whole system adopts programmable control. The operating system adopts human-machine image interface, convenient to intuitively grasp the working status of each component of the equipment.

10. Aseptic Filling

Aseptic filling machines work with tubes in a tube sterilizer. It is a closed loop. Prior to production, the cycle is fully sterilized to ensure a sterile environment. And the filling cavity is also steam protected to ensure that the filling environment is also sterile. Security - Provides multiple security methods. Mirror welding technology is adopted to ensure clean and smooth welds. Separate control panel. CIP and automatic SIP can be used with the sterilizer. Easily adjustable to fit sterile bags of different volumes and sizes.

11. Storage or go blending

The finished product can be stored or used as the raw material to make the tomato sauce or ketchup.
