12V40Ah LiFePO4 battery pack configures ferrous phosphate as the cathode material that enable it to acquire much more overall stability than NMC Polymer Battery. As lithium moves out of the cathode in Li-polymer cell, the polymer undergoes non-linear expansion that affects the structural integrity of the cell. LiFePO4 cells are more structurally stable. LiFePO4 is highly flexible during oxygen loss, which results in an exothermic reaction in other lithium cells in most cases. Therefore, lithium ferric phosphate cells have less possibility to set fire in the event of improper handling. It is well accepted that LiFePO4 battery maintain perfect stability at high temperatures.
