DX8349 Wire & Cable Bundle Combustion Tester

 

Scope of application: It is used to evaluate the ability of vertically installed bundled wires and cables or optical cables to inhibit the vertical spread of flames under specified conditions, and the use process needs to cooperate with smoke dust removal towers. The whole machine is composed of several parts, such as a test chamber, an air source, a steel ladder, an emission purification system, and an ignition source.

Technical Parameters:

Test chamber: The experimental device should be a self-supporting chamber with a width of (1000±100) mm, a depth of (2000±100) mm and a height of (4000±100) mm. The back wall and both sides of the test chamber should be made of heat transfer coefficient of about 0.7W?m-2? K-1 thermal insulation, 1.5mm thick USU304 stainless steel plate, 65mm thick insulation mineral fiber in the middle, 1.5mm thick USU304 stainless steel plate outside

2. Air source:

The air inlet is equipped with a digital air velocity anemometer, and the gas flow rate of the air is (5000±500) L/min.

After the test is completed: if the sample is still burning for one hour after stopping the fire, there is an alarm and a device to forcibly stop the combustion by rain.

3. Steel ladder type: wide (500±5) mm standard steel ladder (800±10) mm wide steel ladder made of USU304 stainless round steel

4. Discharge purification device:

The upper part of the test chamber is equipped with a digital anemometer to ensure that the flow rate of the wind is less than 8M/S, which will not affect the air flow in the test chamber.

Smoke collection and washing device: SUS304 stainless steel, diameter 800mm, height 3500mm.

 

Ignition source

1. Type: The ignition source should include one or two belt propane gas blowtorches and their supporting flowmeters and venturi mixers. The surface of the fire should be drilled with 242 flat metal plates with a diameter of 1.32 mm, the center distance of these holes is 3.2 mm, and they are staggered in three rows, each row is 81, 80 and 81, distributed in a range of 257×4.5 mm nominal size. In addition, a row of small holes are cut on each side of the flamethrower, and these pilot holes can keep the flame burning steadily. Each blowtorch should be equipped with an accurate device to control the rate of propane and air inflow. Rotameters or mass flow meters can be used

2. The blowtorch at the ignition source should be placed horizontally, (75±5) mm away from the front surface of the cable sample, (600±5) mm from the bottom of the test chamber, and symmetrical with the axis of the steel ladder. The ignition point of the blowtorch should be located in the center between the two rungs of the steel ladder and at least 500mm away from the lower end of the specimen.

12. Automatically set the combustion test time, and automatically cut off the gas source at that time

13. The thermocouple on the inner wall of the box can display the internal temperature of the box

Smoke dust removal tower: It is mainly used to generate flue gas in the experimental process, and the gas discharged after being processed by the smoke dust removal tower meets the environmental protection requirements.

Material: The whole body of the scrubber is made of PP material, there are no metal components in the system, and it has extremely high acid and alkali resistance and corrosion resistance;

Circulating liquid layer: can be filled with tap water, can also be filled with washing liquid, the washing liquid effect is better, in order to prevent the waste discharge into the corrosion of the bottom of the washing tower;

Air layer: the exhaust gas emitted in the production or experimental process that needs to be treated, and the air layer is connected with the air inlet to allow waste to enter the air layer;

Filling layer: The filling material of the scrubber is made of PP sea urchin type medium-hole balls, which are shaped in the shape of multi-tooth TELLERTT, and there is a window on the surface of the filling layer, which is convenient for cleaning the balls in the filling layer. The main function of the filling layer is to disperse the exhaust gas in the air layer and make it a dispersed waste, so that the exhaust gas can be fully cleaned in the water spray layer;

Water spray layer: The sprinkler head in the water spray layer adopts PP120 degree rotation without clogging the sprinkler head, covering 95% of the area, and the water spray layer has an independent window to facilitate the inspection of the working condition of the sprinkler head;

Anti-fog layer: It can effectively filter impurities in the air, and at the same time, it can also prevent the water mist crystals in the exhaust gas from corroding the inner wall of the scrubber;

Circulating pump: The circulating pump makes the liquid in the circulating liquid layer circulate through the sprinkler head to save water.
