Stainless steel wire mesh type:
Woven wire mesh is made in a similar fashion to woven fabrics, as it is woven on looms. Wires are woven together to create wire mesh in different patterns, such as plain weave and twilled weave. The most common materials used to create woven wire mesh include carbon steel, galvanized steel, aluminum mesh and stainless steel. Stainless wire mesh is especially useful because it is extremely chemical resistant, works with hot or cold liquids and is easily cleaned. Meanwhile, aluminum mesh is lightweight, strong, has a high electrical conductivity and a low melting point. It also significantly resists atmospheric corrosion. Other materials such as copper and nickel alloys are suitable to be woven into wire mesh.

Plain Weave also called tabby weave, linen weave or taffeta weave, is the most basic type of weaves. In plain weave, the warp and weft are aligned so they form a simple criss-cross pattern. Each weft thread crosses the warp threads by going over one, then under the next, and so on. The next weft thread goes under the warp threads that its neighbor went over, and vice versa.
