When using an Ethernet switch or fiber media converter to cascade, we should pay attention to the following problems. In principle, any manufacturer or any type of Ethernet switch or media converter can cascade with each other, but sometimes two switches or fiber media converters cannot be cascaded under some special circumstances. There is a certain limit on the number of cascaded layers between switches or media converters. That is to say, in order to provide higher bandwidth, better redundancy and load balancing, two devices can be connected in parallel through more than two ports of the same type and transmit data at the same time.
