There is a armour inside the armored indoor fiber optic cable, generally, the armour is a spiral steel tube with very excellent elastic tension so the cable is with very high tensile strength and crush resistance, it can provide comprehensive protection for the fiber and also anti rate bit and damage by insects.

 

A armored indoor fiber optic cable including buffered fiber, aramid yarn for strengthen tension, spiral steel tube anti crush, bending and bite, metal braid for anti twist and outer jacket. Generally, if we describe the cable with single armour, means that it is with steel tube only but do not with metal braid, if we describe it with two layer armour or dual armour, means that it is with both steel tube and metal braid. The cost is different for for two difference.
