Theory
The excavator hydraulic pump is one of the key components in the excavator hydraulic system and is used to provide the pressure and flow required by the hydraulic system. Here's how it works:
1. Structure of a hydraulic pump: A hydraulic pump usually consists
of a drive shaft, a drive device (such as an electric motor or
engine) and a pump body. There is a rotor and a casing inside the
pump body. The rotor is connected to the driving device through a
drive shaft.
2. Oil suction stage: When the hydraulic pump starts to work, the
driving device starts, and the drive shaft drives the rotor to
rotate. During the oil suction stage, when the rotor rotates, some
closed cavities will be formed inside the pump body. As these
cavities pass by the oil inlet, they expand, creating an area of
negative pressure. Negative pressure draws oil from the hydraulic
tank into the pump body.
3. Oil pressure stage: When the rotor continues to rotate, the
cavity gradually shrinks, pushing the oil to the oil outlet of the
pump body. During this process, the oil passes through the pressure
control device of the pump body, such as a hydraulic valve, etc.,
which can control the pressure and flow of the oil. The output
pressure of a hydraulic pump depends on the needs of the hydraulic
system and the design and adjustment of the pump.
4. Oil circulation: The pump body pushes pressure oil into the
hydraulic system, and the oil is transported through pipelines to
actuators, such as hydraulic cylinders or hydraulic motors, to
realize the movement and operation of the excavator. After
completing the work, the oil returns to the hydraulic tank and is
recycled again.
Maintenance
The excavator hydraulic pump is one of the key components of the excavator, and maintenance has an important impact on its normal operation and life. The following are some maintenance recommendations for excavator hydraulic pumps:
1Replace hydraulic oil regularly: The normal operation of the
hydraulic pump requires clean hydraulic oil. Regular replacement of

to the hydraulic pump by sediment, impurities, etc.
2 Pay attention to the temperature of the hydraulic oil: the
hydraulic pump will generate heat during work, and excessive
temperature will have an adverse effect on the hydraulic system.
Make sure the hydraulic oil temperature is within the normal range
and avoid overheating or overcooling.
3. Check the seals of the hydraulic pump: Regularly check the seals
of the hydraulic pump, including O-rings, sealing rings, etc., to
