HDD is the horizontal directional drilling. HDD mud recycling
system is the drilling fluid process system similar as oil well

1. There is a drill pit at each side of drilling hole, a set of vertical slurry pump will set on top of mud pit for feeding shale shaker. The shale shaker screen will separate drilling cuttings and discharge out, fluids part will drop into sand trap through screen hole.
2. 1 or 2 or 3 sets of desander cyclone sit after shale shaker, one set of centrifugal pump will feed desander cyclong for second phase separation, solids out of desander will be discharge to shaker screen or cutting box directly and fluids over flow from desander will flow into desander compartment.
3. A quantity of desilter cyclones will sit after desander for fine solids separation, solids out of desilter will discharge to shaker screen or cuttings box, fluids over from desilter will drop into desilter compartment.
4. A mixing pump sit on tank skid for drilling mud transfer and feed mud into mud hopper for new mud remix by new chemicals. The mixing hopper can sit on top of tank or tank skid as per client’s demand.
500GPM HDD mud recycling system is well used for horizontal
directional drilling as well as mining industry with different

mud tank, tank compartment arrangement, pipeline and valve layout,
pump layout, etc. The tank is made by H beam, steel plate, square
pipe, grating on top, handrail and ladder, etc.
1. 1 set linear motion shale shaker with 500GPM capacity, 1 set mud
cleaner with 1 set shaker and desander desilter cyclones installed
on second set shaker.
2. 2 sets centrifugal pump installed on tank skid for desander and
desilter mud feeding.
3. 1 set mud agitator on third tank compartment to stop solids
build up in tank bottom and corner.
4. 1 set mud tank 9 meters long to install all equipments on.
5. Pipeline arrangement, stairway, handrail, butterfly valves for
mud tank arrangement.
1. 1 set 500GPM linear motion shale shaker with 3 deck screens
installed on shaker deck. The shaker installed on tank by 4 bolts
for fast moving and installation.
2. 2 sets of vibrator motors for shaker deck to reach linear motion
vibrating. The 2 sets motor will balance force on horizontal
direction on the shaker width direction.
3. Shaker deck is heat treated to allow high G force vibrating with
high strength material Q345.
4. Shaker deck angle can be adjust -1 to +5 degree by mechanical
adjust. Electrical adjust can be optional by extra request on
technical.
5. Shaker screen is frame type design with wedge installation into
shaker deck. The screen can be steel frame or composite material
frame depending on shaker model selection.
Mud reclaiming recycling mixing system is designed for mud
recycling of trenchless. Such as tunneling shield, HDD, and
pilings. It can help reduce costs and improve construction
efficiency significantly.
The whole system consists of a mud recovery treatment unit and a
mud preparation unit.
Before construction, using mud mixing device to blend freshwater
with mud material, achieving the purpose of mud preparation;
Using a mud pump to supply the prepared slurry to the wellhead;
Return of waste mud from the wellhead is pumped to the shale shaker
in the mud treatment unit, and the waste mud is removed through the
mud shale shaker to remove a large amount of the waste solid
particles. The treated slurry liquid will continue to be supplied
to mud cleaner through the sand pump, after treatment the liquid
can meet user requirements. Because after this system treated,
solid particles content in the slurry liquid is 75 microns.
