Description of screw conveyor

Screw conveyor is designed to deliver drilling cuttings and feed to vertical cuttings dryer or High G dryer for further treatment. It is also called auger feeder. Usually, the screw diameter has 4 options: 10 inch, 12inch, 16 inch, 20 inch; screw length is customer built too, but commonly there are 12~48feet. Installation and commissioning

The correctness of installation is one of the necessary conditions for good use in the future. The on-site installation should be carried out reasonably and meet the following conditions.

1.The installation of the auger should meet the installation foundation, can reliably support the conveyor, and ensure that the screw machine does not sink and additional changes due to the small place, and ensure that the screw machine has sufficient stability during operation.

2. Before installation, the screw conveyor must be cleaned by the grime stuck on the unloaded box during transportation.

3.The flanges of adjacent casings should be connected smoothly and tightly, and the deviation of the dislocation distance at the joints on the inner surface of the casing should not exceed 2 mm.

4. The housing flanges allow for padded asbestos strips to adjust the accumulation of housing and spiral length.

5. The gap between the outer diameter of the auger and the casing should meet the requirements in the table, and the minimum gap should not be less than 60% of the value specified in the table.

6. Each intermediate suspension bearing of the auger should be reliably fixed on the lifting lug of the casing, the screw rotates evenly, and must not be stuck. During installation, spacers can be added between the suspension bearing base and the casing lifting lug to ensure that each suspension bearing Coaxial, after installation, the interaxiality of the spiral body axis should meet the requirements.

7. The coaxiality of the main shaft of the auger and the shaft of the geared motor shall comply with GB1184-80 "Shape and Position Tolerance, No Tolerance Regulations"

10.Inlet and outlet site installation should make the inlet and outlet flange support surface parallel to the axis of the screw machine body, and the connected flange should be closely fitted, no gap.

11.After the auger is installed, check whether there is enough lubricating oil in each oil storage place. If it is not enough, add enough, and then the no-load test can be carried out. After the no-load test run for more than 4 consecutive hours, the screw machine assembly should be checked. If it is found that it does not meet the following conditions, it should be shut down immediately, and then run after correction until it is in good operating condition. When powering on the test auger, it should be jogged first to confirm that there is no friction between the parts, and then the normal test operation can be started. Start the test run for two hours to run in the newly assembled parts. Some appropriate lubrication (such as soap solution) should be used to reduce vibration and noise. If there is no lubricating facility, turn the screw with empty car, otherwise the bushing will be seriously damaged.
