Z microbial standards were used as test samples into 5 alveolar lavage samples. Host DNA was removed by Host Removal Kit for mNGS Library Preparation in Biological Fluid Sample and Swabs and Zymo similar product and microbial DNA was extracted. Also, library preparation and sequencing were completed. Compared with no host removal, this product was able to efficiently remove host DNA and significantly improve the detection of microorganisms.
