100% All Silicone Double Lumen Laryngeal mask Airway
The ventilation mask at the front end of the laryngeal mask is oval shaped and can wrap around the epiglottis and glottis, forming a sealed ventilation space on the glottis. Patients can breathe autonomously through a laryngeal mask or control ventilation. After the placement of the laryngeal mask, methods such as auscultation, airway resistance, PETCO2 waveform, and placement of a gastric tube (double tube laryngeal mask) can be used to determine whether its position is correct.
Double lumen laryngeal mask belongs to a type of laryngeal mask, which is suitable for patients who need anesthesia or drug sedation, as well as patients who need emergency artificial ventilation support during emergency rescue and resuscitation. Its function is to ensure that the patient's respiratory tract is unobstructed. Compared to other ventilation methods, the placement of laryngeal mask has less stimulation, does not affect tracheal cilia activity, is conducive to sputum excretion, and has fewer postoperative complications.

Operation method of Double Lumen laryngeal mask:
The patient needs to be in a supine position with their head
slightly tilted back. After the patient is anesthetized, the
operator holds a dual lumen laryngeal mask in his right hand and
faces the patient. The operator pulls the patient's chin with his
left hand to expand the oral space, based on the angle at which the
oral and throat can be seen. Next, the ventilation mask is placed
downward along the centerline of the tongue, tightly against the
posterior wall of the throat, while extending the index finger. The
ventilation mask is pushed towards the lower part of the pharynx
until it can no longer be pushed forward. Then, the outer end of
the catheter is fixed and the index finger is removed.
It should be noted that the operation of the dual lumen laryngeal mask has certain difficulties. If the placement position is improper, the ventilation mask is folded or rotated, it may cause respiratory obstruction, air leakage around the laryngeal mask, etc. Therefore, the dual lumen laryngeal mask must be used under the guidance of a doctor and should not be operated on its own.
