178/1,032 Tbit/S Huawei Core Switch / 12800 Series Data Center Switches innovations for cloud data center networks.
Introduction
Huawei CloudEngine 12800 series switches are next-generation, high-performance core switches designed for data centers and high-end campus networks. They provide stable, reliable, secure, and fast L2/L3 switching services and help build an elastic, virtual, agile, and high quality network.
The CloudEngine 12800 provides 178/1,032 Tbit/s ultra-large switching capacity and supports 576 x 100 GE, 576 x 40 GE, 2,304 x 25 GE, or 2,304 x 10 GE line-speed interfaces. The switch uses a strict front-to-back airflow design and provides industrial-grade reliability as well as comprehensive virtualization capabilities and a variety of data center service features. Especially designed with multiple energy conservation technologies, this core switch helps to greatly reduce equipment power consumption.
The gRPC-based telemetry helps detect network-wide paths and monitors network health in real time.
One CloudEngine 12800 switch can be virtualized into up to 16 logical switches. BGP–EVPN supports resource sharing among data centers.
Using the patented, strict front-to-rear airflow design, line card and switch fabric unit airflows are isolated, improving heat dissipation efficiency.
