Hexapeptides are 6 amino acid sequence peptides that are used to increase collagen synthesis for improved tone whilst also reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

In particular, Hexapeptide-11 increases cellular oxygen consumption. Peptide technology is thought to penetrate the skin and bind to cell surface receptors to stimulate cell activity.
