Production Description
321 is a titanium stabilized chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel with good strength and excellent corrosion resistance, supplied in the annealed condition with a typical Brinell hardness of 175. It is characterized by high corrosion resistance in general atmospheric corrosive environments.
It exhibits good oxidation resistance at high temperatures, excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and excellent weldability. 321 cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but can be greatly increased in strength and hardness by cold working.
