400G QSFP-DD ZR DCO w/7nm Marvell DSP & Flex Grid, SCFEC & CMIS 5.0

 

This is 400G QSFP56-DD ZR transceiver module is capable of transmission distances up to 120km and compliant to the OIF 400G ZR standard, while 400G QSFP56-DD ZR+ transceiver module is capable of transmission distances up to 480km and compliant to the Open ZR+ standard. Both modules are using the Silicon Photonics (SiPho) based optical engine and the latest DSP generation that enables 400G coherent transmission. The QSFP-DD form factor and CMIS5.1 support makes them suitable for transmission applications using Ethernet switch equipment.

Application
The  module is compliant to the QSFP-DD MSA Hardware Specification with the following exceptions:
• No plan to support module select function
• Assumption that I2C is point to point between Host and Module
The products are ideally suited for IPoDWDM coherent transceiver/transponder (TRXR/TRPN) applications defined by OIF 400ZR [6], and IEEE 802.3TM-2018 [12]. The DP04QSDD-E3x is also capable of aggregating up to 4 × 100GBASE-R or 2 × 200GBASE-R ports as a muxceiver/muxponder (MUXR/MUPN) to 200-400G and supports reaches up to 1000km. This mode is referred to as OpenZR+ in this document.

The optical reach spans the ER (40km), and ZR (80km) ranges with C-FEC and metro reaches (greater than 450km) when enabled with oFEC.
