Roughing end mills quickly remove large amounts of material. This type of end mill uses wave-shaped teeth that are cut on the periphery. These wavy teeth form many continuous cutting edges and produce many small chips, resulting in a relatively rough surface finish. During the cutting process, multiple teeth contact the workpiece to reduce chattering and vibration.
