The AB 1775-MED error correcting RAM module is designed in a rectangular format with a black paint job. It comes with a manual and other guides. The 1775-MED error correcting RAM has a spacious capacity of 128,000 MB. It uses a nickel-cadmium battery which is rechargeable and this battery has a capacity of 3.6 volts and it provides enough power for the optimal functionality of the device. The 1775-MED RAM module is easy to transport because it has a cumulative card weight of 4.4 lbs. and a breaker dimension of 2 inches x 12 inches x 15.5 inches. Another notable feature of this device is its backplane requirements. The 1775-MED module operates at +5V DC at 1.80A and it operates at +15V DC at 0.15A.
The AB 1775-MED error correcting RAM module is a key machine in the automation industry because it has a PLC-3 extension chassis that can be used in giving both privileged and non-privileged commands, operating under the ‘Extended Addressing’ logical description. The expansion modules of 1775-MED are very transparent, but it does not have any additional I/O wiring or I/O expansion. It can easily be linked to a local network using an RS-422-A or RS-232-C port. The 1775-MED module offers access to the EBUS by using four 50-pin connectors. This device fits in a slot of the main or expansion chassis. It can work with other devices in the same category. The 1775-MED error correcting RAM is also reputed for its durability, making it ideal for industrial environments.
