Description:
Rotary cut poplar veneer, originated from the China, is mainly used for furniture surface and plywood making.
The grain of rotary poplar veneer is straight and shallowly interlocked.
Rotary cut poplar veneer is naturally white-yellow color with a broad grain pattern. The cost of rotary poplar veneer is usually cheaper than sliced ones.
Rotary poplar veneer is used in the manufacture of quality utility plywoods, and is also used as a low cost balancer where a veneered panel only requires one decorative face veneer.
Rotary poplar veneer has somewhat of a creamy white background with areas of green patches and sometimes purple streaking or "bloodlines." It stains and finishes well and has a consistent grain texture. It is available in 4' x 8' sheets in FlexVen™ 10 and FlexVen™ 20 paper backed sheets with a PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) option. Poplar wood veneer is also available in a 4' x 10' size and with the Tuf-Pli™ polyback and Pli-Flex™ wood on wood backer options as special order. It is a rotary cut wood veneer most commonly as a whole piece face but can also be rotary spliced.
